How Visiting Your Dentist Can Actually Save You Money $$!

You know I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been a fan of dentists.

Just glancing around the surgery at their tools on display reminds me of what a torture chamber would look like – not to mention the fact that you may have to refinance the house to pay the bill!

But as a 30-something gal (yes I may be approaching 40 but I’m not there yet) – I’ve been quite proud to say that “I have only ever had 1 filling in my whole entire life”. Thanks mum for not feeding me a lot of junk food and cola as a kid.

But that “Only 1 Filling” story came to an abrupt end today when I came face to face with the drill and needle. Lucky for me I was strapped into that chair because if I was going to faint, I wasn’t going to fall any great distance. (The first day I got my contact lenses is a different story, but I’ll share that one with you another day).

Anyway, the good news is that my $473 bill came down to a much more friendly $82 thanks to my Private Health Insurance Cover with MBF.

So the moral to this story is that I came into the dentist with a hole, but still managed to walk out with a smile.

It’s time to do yourself a favour, and don’t be a scaredy cat like me and keep putting off that visit to the dentist. The longer you leave it the bigger the holes in your mouth will grow – not to mention the hole in wallet $$!

I'm your newest follower and wanted to thank you for also following me!

I loathe going to the dentist. But you're right–we should all make sure to go regularly to avoid all that other jazz. Glad you got your bill down!

You know, that is so true. So often we pay for insurance that we never use. What's the point?!
